Matthew C. Chen is an associate at Stone & Sallus, LLP, practicing real estate law; business and corporate law; and civil litigation.

Matthew graduated from University of California, San Diego, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations.  Matthew obtained his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University, School of Law, where he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence for Legal Research and Writing, and externed as a law clerk for the Honorable JoAnne McCracken in Santa Clara Superior Court.  Matthew has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since January 2019.

Prior to working at Stone & Sallus, LLP, Matthew worked in Downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach, where he represented clients at all stages of civil litigation, from inception to trial, including post-trial matters, arbitrations, and mediations.  Matthew has fought for his clients in their divorce proceedings; enforced their rights as employees; prosecuted medical malpractice actions; guided his clients through their probate matters; and retrieved money which his clients have lost through a failed contract.  Matthew’s extensive knowledge and experience in civil litigation has armed him with the ability to efficiently pursue his clients’ interests.

Matthew is a lifelong resident of the South Bay area.  In his spare time, he enjoys bouldering, calisthenics, good food and live music.
